Find your size
- Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are at their largest — never when your hands are cold.
- Slide the measurement over your knuckle: the ring has to pass it comfortably, then settle snugly at the base of the finger.
- Between two sizes? Take the larger one, especially for wide bands, which always fit a touch tighter.
- For men, a fit that turns easily but resists coming off over the knuckle is right; measure the exact finger you'll wear it on.
Keeping your silver perfect
- Store your silver dry, dark and airtight — a closed pouch or box slows tarnishing far more than an open dish.
- Wear it often. The natural contact with skin keeps sterling silver bright.
- Put jewellery on last: perfume, hairspray, lotion, chlorine and salt water all dull the surface.
- Polish gently with a soft, dry cloth. For detailed pieces, warm water with a drop of mild soap, then dry fully.
